Judge Diane Haddock

Diane Haddock is the Associate Judge of the 233rd Judicial District Court where she hears a variety of cases dealing with family issues such as divorce, adoptions, child support and custody.

A longtime community advocate and supporter of the institution of the family, Judge Haddock is an active participant in the annual National Adoption Day activities. She was a key developer of Associate Judge forms and orders that have been adopted by all Tarrant County Family Law Courts. Judge Haddock was recently named to Leadership Texas for 2010, and is an alumna of both Leadership Fort Worth and Leadership Plainview. She has also previously supported the YMCA Amaka Child Care Center, LeaderKids of Fort Worth, Meals on Wheels, the James L. West Presbyterian Special Care Center and the former Crime Prevention Resource Center.

Judge Haddock is a frequent speaker at Texas Wesleyan School of Law, where she serves as adjunct professor and is also on the Dean’s Advisory Board. She has been a Barrister for Eldon Mahon Inn of Court, and named a Texas Bar Foundation Fellow as well as a Tarrant County Bar Foundation Fellow. A member of the Tarrant County Family Law Association and Tarrant County Bar Association, she previously served on the Presidential Roundtable Commission for the President of the United States under George W. Bush. Judge Haddock and her husband, Gerald, provided the entrance to the Baylor University School of Law – the Gerald & Diane Haddock Entry Courtyard.

Judge Haddock earned her doctor of jurisprudence from Texas Tech University in 1990, where she served as an editor of the Texas Tech Law Review while completing her studies. In addition to her doctor of jurisprudence, she holds a bachelor of science in psychology, as well as extensive banking management experience.

Before taking the bench in January 1999, Judge Haddock was the principal of Fort Worth-based Haddock Law Firm, where she focused her practice primarily on family law and banking and corporate transactions. As a lawyer, this former banking officer and director was responsible for the largest mortgage bank transactions in the country from 1995-1999.

One of Judge Haddock’s greatest privileges is being a wife, mother of one daughter and two sons, and grandmother to four beautiful granddaughters.
